Floor Plans

  1. Sher, your elevation is quite attractive, and shows a lot of architectural expression. But your floor plans seem to be lacking the structure and the elegance he elevation shows. How are those ribs translated? What are they? How could you express them in plan?
And please show your ground floor plan on site. How do I approach? How does it relate to RedHook? Scale? etc

  2. Sher,
I agree with Lia and look forward to have more clarity in the drawings.

  4. it is not only about working of the structural design, but also about conveying the information on the floor plans. How are those ribs represented?
    Please do check Calatrava's work.

  5. I think the structural ribs could start to organize the spaces in the floor plan. Each floor is stepping back as your building rises, and I think this should show in the structure and floor plans. - I thought there were some kid of balconies on the rooms - could this be connected with the structure? Also - it would be great to see the roof below each floor on each floor plan so that we can see the connection of this building stepping back.

  6. I agree with Lia's initial comment; these floor plans really knock out the excite and potential of you massing.

Think out your floor plans in the same way you've been sketching, be more expressive(like Calatrava) and don't let your drafting program take over the process.

You have some exciting conceptual work and these plans hiding too more of that.
